We have got a pair in for testing soon - I'll post my comments on them once we have tested them.

They arrived today - first impressions were good. Weight and finish were pleasing and I will get them built and post photos here shortly. I did specify UD matt finish and got UD gloss finish but these are test rims and the factory realised the error and emailed me in advance so I'm not too bothered at this stage.

We've also built ENVE XC 29er wheels this last week - they are the stiffest, cleanest rims we have seen so we have a benchmark for these Chinese ones to compare against.

I didn't see any. They have Enve, Ax and DUKE. DUKE is a french brand, the rims are made in Europe.

Just another option for you. Look up "Hermes Sport". They have a carbon 29" wheelset that is handbuilt with Tune hubs. It is in the 1500 dollar range or so, and weighs about 1400g. Great warranty and handbuilt. I have a set coming for myself. www.hermes-sport.com

Zoran from the Netherlands developed a carbon 29er rim with a China manufacturer.

I guess it was around 250 euro a rim.

Ok, here's the update, we received and built them this week with some Hope Pro Evo hubs we had in hand. I have not gone Weight Weenie crazy on these as they are a test build to be abused by many local riders. The rims are 25g heavier than ENVE XC rims and the finish is ok. I will order a matt UD finish if we decide to go ahead with an order. We will now see how they perform. I think they will run tubeless as well.

and our own Project 29er they are going to go on at some point in the next week or two.

The exterior width is 26.5mm, internal is 22mm, weight 388g. We expect them to be £995 for a fully built set with a custom build option available. The test rider took 2 mins off his usual ride using them and said they were noticeably stiffer than his current alloy rims. We are very pleased so far with these rims.

Yeah, it's a Carbonage 19.5" frame at 1235g. It will be given a stealth logo early next week then the build can commence. I will blog the build here of course.
