I purchased a Ritchey WCS carbon streem saddle recently. Within a week the saddle to develop a nasty creak when shifting my weight forwards and backwards.
A quick disassembly indicated nothing was wrong, I checked the rails that time and unscrewed the cap at the nose of the saddle, nothing seemed wrong.
I've been riding it some time now and it is holding up, however I can't stand my gear creaking. I took it off today, unscrewed the cap and starting pulling the rails. Shockingly enough the rail just popped out at the nose!
Now I'm left wondering, is it supposed to be like that? Shouldn't it have been glued / epoxied into the nose?
Can I stop the creaking by greasing it (if so, does it have to be carbon paste)?
some pics to illustrate.

I could get it warrantied but I'm trying to verify if it's actually broken. The smoothness of the edges lead me to believe it was manufactured this way.

So yours had the very same defect and it wasn't warrantied by Ritchey?
If this is a reocurring problem then it should have been replaced. I already emailed Ritchey costumer service and I hope they will do right by me.
I've never had any significant problem with any of their parts up till now, so I don't know about their customer service.
