In love with that frame, one of my favourite builds on here even though there are a few things i'd change.

How do you find that saddle for a road setup?

From a fellow 586 owner, that's a nice bike you have there, thencameyou.

The 586 gives such a bloody good ride!

It took me a while to find a saddle I liked - the Arione was always an ass (arse?) hatchet, while I liked the shape of the Aliante but it has too much padding, so the Antares seems to be a happy compromise. The carbon railed version definitely sags less than the Kium version.

The idea with the white hoods was to balance the black/white on the saddle, I will probably change to a mostly black build later on. I had considered the 2012 586 in Matt Black but this colour is a bit more fun...

That looks such a well proportioned and well set up bike. And I think it benefits from the more relaxed seat tube.

That's one amazing bike! How do you like the power2max? Can you compare with srm?

Thanks!
Power2Max is pretty good, very reasonably priced and a doddle to set up with a Garmin 500. I've only ever had wired SRM's but got fed up with the running/maintenance costs so wanted to change to something user-serviceable. The spider is probably 100g heavier than the equivalent Quarq model, and I prefer the Powercontrol computer for intervals.
I'd probably still have an SRM if money was no object, but at the prices here there's no comparison.

Some minor updates and an excuse for a new photo.

- 110mm BCD Power2Max with 52/36t Stronglight CT2 rings
- Fizik Antares 00 in white
- White Fizik Bar Tape
- New Hutchinson Carbon Comp Tubs
- Veloflyte UD Carbon headset spacers
- Ritchey WCS Carbon Curve 44cm bars

Without question, the nicest bike I have ridden - not the stiffest or lightest, but great fun.

It got even better looking from the original build. the white tape/white saddle "euro" look is more fitting. are those the really curvy ritchey bars?
how do you like 'em?
i still think you should go to black cables. To me, cables should disappear. it's still outstanding. keep enjoying!

I'm just seeing this thread now...glad you like the bike!! Your build turned out beautifully! Only thing I would change is the elastometer...when I had this color scheme last year I actually painted an elastometer yellow to match the frame and have it looks like it's one piece with the E-post. You can see from up close but it turns out quite nicely.
