greetings.

been a lurker for a long time but seems I have something to share now. My new Parlee Z5sl and Enve components have been arriving over the last few weeks. Not sure how I got to this point but it sure is fun. Not really trying to be ultra light just have a nice build. weight of the frame, fork, heaset, stem, post, bars was 3lb 15oz. Wheels are Enve 45 Clincher. i have not weighed the wheels yet.

Before you get too far, we'd love to know the weight of the frame alone.

Hey Charles. Allan here. your helmet is on the way. If I am lucky my Z5 will be as sweet as yours.

My Z5 mostly finished. Currently 14lb 9oz. I could easily shave some weight but not the main focus. I went with the campy brakes because I loved them on my last bike and I like brakes that stop. Still need to drop the bars some and cut the steerer. I thought I wanted to ghost out all the logos to match the frame but I have cahnged my mind and will be doing a repaint of frame, fork, stem, post, bars, wheels to match. I will use a brighter charcoal color with a white outline and some red accent to tie in the record group and the seat.

Group 2011 Super Record Ti
Brakes Super Record skeleton
Wheels ENVE 45 carbon Clincher
Tires Pro Race 3
Tubes rubber
Skewers carbon/Ti
Bars ENVE 40cm
Stem ENVE 110mm
Seat Post ENVE
Seat Specialized Romin Expert
seat clamp Parlee carbon
front Derailure clamp Parlee Carbon
cables Campy
pedals Keo max carbon

No thread on the S5. i painted it for a friend locally because he hated the red and blue stripes. I used a smoked silver and charcoal metallic in the same stripe format as stock and then used flattened clearcoat. It is the best paint job the Cervel never did. the thought was that people would be asking how to order that model and it appears to have worked. I have had some calls on doing this paint to others.

When I read you were going to paint it... I cringed. But then I scrolled down to the S5! It's in good hands, stoked to see the results.

Very nice Parlee build. The Z5 is one on the wish list.

Not a real big fan of the tube profile on the Cervelo, but loving the paint job. Obviously hence your name. Nice job.
