i have a great deal of pain on the top of my foot, the boney bit , to the point i cannot put my weight on the foot
there is swelling and reduced movement, im using ice packs anti inflams , i have been off the bike for over a week now
and i was hoping to see some improvement, but the pain is still there.
Anyone else who has had this can shed any light on any other forms of treatment :beerchug:

Been like this for a week??

See a doctor, ASAP.

Sounds like stress fracture to me. Which metatarsal? Usually there needs to be some trauma, but somewhat common in runners (not so much cyclists).

I use to brake those from running a lot. Not really much else you can do, and my doc said it would not get any worse so if you can manage the pain, you can keep running /cycling. I ended up stop the running all together because of it.

As a physician who specializes in foot & ankle surgery I would without seeing you think you most likely have a stress fracture.
Get your calcium levels (other standard blood work too) checked also, you might have hyperparathyroidism. Don't stress, see
your doctor.
