Edge/Enve 1.0 vs 20
Moderator: robbosmans
Not much turns up for the Edge 1.0 fork, other than a few generic positive reviews. I'm looking at forks and am leaning towards a 2.0, however I'm curious about the 1.0. It seems to be a bit lighter and a bit stiffer, but I was wondering about durability. Not planning on doing any cross or mtb, but I have been known to go down the random crappy dirt road. Anyone have an opinion on whether the 1.0 leans too far towards the weenie side of weight weenie?

I have the 2.0 which is heavier, but stiffer as well. I love it, but I can't give you a comparison to the 1.0.

I don't know if the 1.0 is too far to the weenie side, but the 2.0 is not. For the last couple of years there has been no tandem carbon fork, and the single bike fork pressed into tandem service by most every tandem maker has been the ENVE 2.0.

I spoke with Enve last week on just this question. According to them, both forks test the same in terms of ride and stiffness. The 1.0 is lighter and more expensive. That's the basic differentiating factor between the two.

I"m about the same and I prefer the 1.0 vs. the 2.0. A bit smoother. No issues with durability either way. Great forks.
I can't comment on either fork...yet. Earlier this week I made the mistake (?) of checking out the "dark deals" on their site, and now my ride is one Fed Ex truck away from a 1.0 makeover. If you're not picky about which logos your fork has it is definitely worth checking out.

Jason at Edge/Enve told me the 2.0 was stiffer

My Enve 1.0 came in at 306g's. I already have the Edge 2.0 on my steel bike. Cosmetically, the standard of finish on the 1.0 is far superior to the 2.0. Along with the Look HSC5, the 2's the best I've ridden on. Cannot give a judgement on the 1.0 as it's going on a TI frame that's not built up yet.
If the 1.0 rides as well as it's finished, then I'll be happy.
