Hi guys,

I recently came a cross this nice forum as i was searching the web for some inspiration on a bike purchase.

As for my background, I did quite some sports when in my twenties, and even played roller hockey on a semi-pro level, but no biking.
I decided to get in shape again and thought biking would be the choice.
I currently only have an MTB, but will buy a road one very soon.
I've always been a gear whore so this community attracted me immediately :D

As of now, I'm looking for some advice to buy a decent first road bike.
Any of your replies and suggestions are more than welcome

As for my sizes ( if it helps)
1m79
71kg
Athletic leftovers
frame size should be a 56...

My budget: 1000-1500€
I'm planning on buying a bike with a good frame and replace the parts afterwards with lighter ones, once I've gained some expérience

Thanks for the help
