I am looking for wider cyclocross tires.....700x40 or wider. What are some good choices that are still pretty light weight? Some sweet MTB trails have been built around my house. I don't own a MTB bike anymore, so need to use my cross bike for the trails. Just want a bigger volume tire with some grip(no semi-slicks) for trails that won't flat as easy. I might run them tubeless too. also.....another possibility would be a thinner 29er tire that would fit on a cross bike
to go faster....just pedal harder!

Bontrager 29-0 Team Issue might be a good option

check the ritchey 700x 40 cross tires, they are good, the bontrager team issue ( also good) are way too wide for most cross bikes

I have some new Continental Twister Pro 700x42mm - (28 x 1.6)". These are highly regarded light race tires for a 29er or cyclocross rider. I did mount these tires to go on my touring bike but they would not fit in the frame so I took them right off and put them back in the boxes. If you have some interest in these let me know.

sure...pm me your best price shipped for the pair...I am at zip 41011. Are they actually 42 wide? Some tires are much thinner than listed.
