Well. I sanded the frame carefully with some fine 320 under water off course and at last some 1020. And then I got a professional to make the stickers for the frame and cranks. The cranks are painted with a spray can. Cover up all the threaded places with some tape. First a couple of black layers, then put on the stickers, and then a couple of layers with clear coat. Same thing with bar, stem and also the rear dropouts. Without any stickers off course.
With the frame I applied some layers of clear coat. Same thing with the fork.

Well I´ve ridden with 7900 for a couple of years, and I don´t like it that much. The 7800 fits perfect for this frame. But I also think that the DI2 would look good. Or the new Sram red black.
Some time later in my life I´m gonna have one more of these. They simply ride amazingly. But I would like a 6.9 ssl 55 OCLV carbon instead.

These frames look so much better then the current TREK models.

I never did like Trek's. Then Daddy yo-yo posted his beauty; now this. You've done a great job there, and extra kudos for the touches that make it unique. Very nice indeed.

I also still ride 7800, and love it, but would love to give it a "new look"......

Didi you also sand the cranks and chainrings? WHat type of paint, and how is it holding up on the chainrings?

DA Black! its the new SRAM black!

the Da7800 groupset matches the "classic" frame
ofcourse 7900 would make it look more stealth
but if it aint broken dont replace it
looks very good

Well, I haven´t got any new parts yet. Altough I do consider some old black Campagnolo Record brakes. (Before skeleton) With single pivot in the rearbrake. Reason is that those brakes are amazing compared to my Dura Ace brakes. I know its a shame to put campa parts on a Dura ace bike, but I wan´t the bike to be as functional as possible. I´ve read somewhere that the singlepivot should reduce the chance of a blocked rearwheel. Don´t know if its true, but I rode my dads bike in the time where I was working on this bike, and I abselutely loved the braking performance. But I don´t like to sprint with the old Campagnolo record levers. Too difficult to shift gears, when I´m in the drops.

I hope you will unlabel the brakes... ;)

Thats why I miss Dura Ace and its ergonomics, shifting, precision....!!!
