Hmmm, they look like wicker baskets. The weaving is weird. I love the weight on them though. How much do the stock hoods on the Records weigh?
Stock Record: 43g.

It looks pretty trick and will the white carbon hoods be more dirt resistant?
are they are something like the material that sci con saddle bags have?
the material they use is soft and flexibel, no worries of slipping and blisters
its kind of carbon but without the plastic looking materials i geus
then they must be able to do a silver colour as well and make a light saddle with the material to

the price will be at 49€ for a pair. Campy, Shimano, Sram...all will be at his shop soon.
I was gonna ask... how the hell could you put on a rigid carbon fiber hood? Good to see they will be avail in SRAM, I might have to get some. Why do they need to be glued?
Wouldn't it be nice if people actually read what you wrote before responding?

That is what I was thinking too, the finish looks strange. Would probably look a little better if that rubber housing was not all around the hood for a cleaner appearance.

I have used them for a couple of weeks now.
They are made from a very light, kind of rubbery carbon(ish) weave. Comfort seems ok. Edges a bit rough on my two pairs (no edge seam on mine like in some pics).
Seems Bernhard has refined the design a bit now.
Downside: they tear easily, take care when mounting!
Great service when I tore my first pair though /a2

Those hoods do not give at all and tear very easily. I tried to fit one over my SR11 and it ripped right below the lever. I guess I could still use it.
