Build in progress. Still undecided on finish. Chrome is looking too expensive... an additional $500.00 or so. I found handlebars but am patiently awaiting the re-release of EE brakes.

Well, your posts created an increase in demand... and I was slow to commit.

Well I doubt that my posts caused Rob that much of an increase but if they did then maybe I should hit him up for a good price on a custom MTB with integrated bars, stem, forks and ISP frame. Would love to have the brake cables run completely inside the frame and the shifter cables as much as possible as well.

I think I saw one of those on his page. hahaha

My handlebars arrived last night. All that remains for my build are brakes. I'm going to use a Dura Ace cassette I already have.

I hope those EE brakes are available soon.

Just slap some temporary brakes on there and build the darn thing, would you? :)

I was just thinking about this and if you have the brake cable exiting directly behind the seat tube, I had a bitch of a time setting up my EE brakes and ended up using my Zero Gravity Ti brakes which worked better.

Final details confirmed... Chrome finish with brushed silver decals. Sweet Wing cranks will (hopefully) be chromed along with the seatmast cap. Cool!

Seat tube machined, other tubes are being mitered as I type.

Maybe the mods will sticky it?

Another minor change... After expressing concerns about my headset choice, Rob has convinced me to go with a more traditional offering. He has had bad luck with the Cane Creek AER headset. I don't have enough miles on mine to have any problems but, considering the incredibly low stack height, it would be imposible to use anything else later if it fails. So we'll go with a Chris King Ti headset I already have instead. I think it's a 34 gram increase, but probably worth it if durability is an issue.

The AER on my WW bike is less of an issue as this new bike will be my daily rider. (I hope)

Main frame mitered. All holes for cable routing cut. Waiting for USB charging port before brazing begins. Sweet!

I went with the Chris King Headset as well. Very happy that I did. They are that one part along with say a Thomson post that weigh a bit more but are the parts that never let you down.
