Who uses what? Any recommendations. I have a Sci-con but need another really quickly. Should I stick with this or try something different?

Bike Pro USA Race Case is king for airline travel...fork and bb mounts to an internal rack, and you can carry two sets of wheels. Padded Cordura with a steel internal frame. You can bring along some cinch type straps, and roll it into a tube to fit into a rental car trunk.

I have a Serfas that I like. It's sturdy without being as heavy as some, UPSable, and has better latches than most.

No problem at all Pat. It works fine. Just wondered if there was anything better. Anybody got experience with this?

I use the Trico Ironcase. After suffering broken frames and broken cases, I got this one and so far, >50 flights, it's fine. It's a simple idea and easy to use.

Well, it was recommended buy someone we both know I like the idea of an integrated workstand - very useful.

But the only case that will not fail even after several flights. (I tried & have let destroyed several over the last few years.)

If you want to save money on the case - buy somethin else
If you want your bike to be carried savely anywhere in the wold - go for the "tank"

I use Elite, big, 12kg bag, but it worked. My bike travelled back and forth to Mallorca without any damage.

I have the Trico Ironcase and have used it for many years, plus have let others used it. It is excellent and tough, plus it is small enough in size to fit on the backseat of most midsized 4 door cars.

Looks great but it's got to be a pain to travel with and since it weighs 15kgs, unless you're Madcow, you're probably going to have to pay excess baggage.

A mate of mine has a 'tank'. Only ever used it twice (once going to Nigeria so he kind of felt he had to ). Fantastic with the work stand in it as well as the wheels to use it as a trolley at the airport but... It weighs as much as a tank and fitting one of those into any car is a serious issue! Not to mention paying for overweight.
The only two times that the tank was used my mate was on sponsored flights and was picked up with a bus so did not have the size/overweight issues. He flies a lot and always travels lighter with a good old carton bike box or a padded bike bag almost taking his entire bike apart to reduce size and vulnerability. I follow his advice.

Almost forgot, only reason he got it in the first place was because it was sponsored.
