Does anyone known the actual weight of the magura marta raceline ?
Don't know if to buy the Xtr brakes or the Marta's...

I think Magura brakes tend to be of or very near specified weights. I.E. 280g for the Racelines.

I have a further question:

Has anyone used them? How do they compare to the Marta SL / Magnesium. Supposedly they're both a lot lighter AND suitable for all applications as opposed to just XC. Seems slightly strange. I think the lever assembly is effectively the prototype for the MT8 ... though calipers and reservoir and of the Marta line.

eliflap has the racelines on one of his recent(ish) builds @ http://blog.eliflap.it/

weight was frankly dissapointing & not much different to the cheaper semi magnesium marta's that have been out for a couple of years now - the new MT8 brakes look like they are worth the extra coin - but probably still not as great as R1's are.
