Chainrings "other than" OEM for Ultegra SL or Dura-Ace 7800?

Any lighter weight options available for chainrings "other than" OEM for Ultegra SL or Dura-Ace 7800 cranks?

Any chaining set will work, it will just look funky on those cranks. Stronglight CT2 is a good option though, if you don't mind black rings

Actually, the fact that it's Black is a BIG PLUS for me.
They look like the Ultegra SL ring I removed,
so the styling is nice and probably would fit my SL crankset perfectly.
Thanks a lot for pointing me in the right direction.

Any other "black" rings that are lighter than either of my OEM Ultegra SL/Dura-Ace 7800 ring would be well appreciated.

I noticed a difference in stiffness and shifting from the Ultegra SL rings.
I'll keep the small DA 7800 ring and replace the 53T ring if I can find
one that will perform better than the DA 7800 and come in black.
If I can't, I will stick with the DA 7800 ring and live with it's appearance
(which really doesn't look "bad", but just would look so much nicer if it were black).

YUMEYA FC-7800 DURA-ACE MACHINED 53T CHAINRING...Is it just me, or does it look "just like" the Ultegra SL?
The Yumeya ring seems to be 95g (which is 10 less than a standard 7800 ring).
The standard Ultegra SL 53T ring is 114g (hard for me to locate a weight...only thing I saw was ".25 lb")?

Ahhh...I do see a difference. The cut-outs in the ring are sharper while the SL's cutouts are more rounded.

Note sure why any chainring set will look 'funky' on those cranks? I'd agree if you were referring to the 6700 or 7900 cranks, but not the earlier versions.

I'm having a problem locating a Shimano Yumeya Chainring.
Is there any body here that knows were I can find one?

I installed Fibrelyte carbon rings on my Sram Quarq on the weekend and am really pleased with them. I was a bit wary at first, but the long term test reports from other WW convinced me to give them a go.

I like the look (I went for the most understated finish available), got the 38 inner ring I wanted, and was pleased to note that they're not only about 75g lighter than the Sram rings they're also much quieter.

Shifting performance doesn't seem to be affected in any way (they have lift pins).

Very quick review:
One thing that I missed about my Ultegra SL Rings was how smoothy they'd shift from 53--->39 and back.
It was truly a seamless transition and smoother than the Dura Ace Rings. I noticed that the Dura Ace rings
however felt much stiffer under power & gave me a more solid shift and it felt more secure.

With a quick mile on the Praxis rings (it was raining and super windy and crappy weather and I didn't even
have on my Ergo 2's, but just plain running shoes), I immediately noticed my Ultegra SL-like smoothness
return and when I got up to hammer it a bit, I felt the solidness of the Dura Ace Rings.
I seemed to have scored a Trifecta here...I got what I missed from both previous sets, but now,
I have the aesthetics my bike was hungry for. And it meets my criteria to Weenieize something:
Less weight + better performance without sacrificing durability or safety.

I can't wait to put in a few hours to give you guys a better review, but right off the bat,
I'm already impressed with the improvements over my previous OEM sets.
And they look soooooo good on my BBQ CAAD!
I got off my bike grinning big time.

Thanks Lars! I totally agree. And, I'm finding that it is working like a dream.
In person, the Ice Grey crank arms don't stand out as much as they do in the pictures.
