New Project - CAAD9 Racer - 6.8Kg Barrier Smashed
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi,
if I were you, I would build cheaper, which does not mean heavier wheels on a lightweight hubs and KinLin or Ambrosio tubular rims - Crono f20 or Nemisis, which are a little heavier. Perfect for crit.
I like the blue color, it will be a very nice dale.

Swapped the carbon spacers from stock to BBB UltraSpace and saved a whopping 4g
Finally the build begins....... and quickly comes to a halt.......

More pics - some really nice lines on the CAAD9 Frame

Nice high head tube on this bike so I suspect the stack height will end up being quite low when I have been in for a set up.
Now blue or black skewers? I'm leaning towards the blue......

Pics might help

Reminds me of the Maritime Blue on Porsches.
I vote black too.
Nice car collection - that blue does look similar..... Maybe I'll change the Cannondale stickers to Porshe

All done!
Total weight with pedals and bottle cages........ Drum roll............
6.81Kg
I was stunned. I was expecting closer to 7Kg so I am really really happy.
These pics are before setup so final weight may still change depending on whether I cut the steerer or not.

You may need to check your bottle cages. They are mounted upside down.
