Ok, I know, Caad9s are not unknown to this forum. I have gone through all the caad9 threads in the introduction section. Despite the numerous caad9s on the forum, I didnt found any that I thougth was real hot except for member airsoft white caad9, Fail's black caad9 and 2002saecoreplica's one. This will be my contribution to this cummunity under the section dedicated racing/functionnal yet "light" bike. I cant wait to ride it, maybe I'll be able to do so in a few..... months... crappy winter weather.
here's a short summary of how I ended up buying a caad9 so soon after buying a velocite slene.
After having started building my Velocite Selene, I realized I needed to finally buy what I really wanted for long: a caad9 with an hollowgram crankset, built into a decent light bike. So I broke the bank and spent the cash, now, bike related expenses are over.... at least ....uuggghh for.... arrrgg.... now
The Selene came in at a heavy weight because of the BB adapter and the SRM. So it will be my training and B-race bike. The build is not done yet because I am waiting for some sram stuff, I'll update when I get it.
The caad9 will be my nice, "light" bike, my target weight was 7000g without pedals. I'll use it for A races and long ride without the use of a powermeter. The cannondale frameset was slightly used but in very nice shape, thanks to a local cannondale head for helping sourcing it.
Also, special thanks to Phallenthoul who helped with a lot of parts at a great price, great seller, I would never hesitate to buy from him again.

The build has nothing spectacular. I tried to pay attention to details and I picked components one by one according to my needs. I expect to drop arround 50g with the planned upgrades/tuning. I could easily go sub 6.8 if I'd changed the brakes for KCNC ones and the porky fork for an Alpha Q one. ANY COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS WELCOMED
Hope you like
