Some people like to reflect on the past. I on the other hand would like to look into the future and wish you all a very happy new year in which we discuss light parts, treat our selves with new parts and talk tech with each other. The atmosphere in the forums is good, there will always be people who you and I like better and topics that we prefer, but let's help each other out and have fun while doing it.
Let us make 2011 a year that we shall not forget fast!

HAPPY 2011 to you all!

There is only one thing that I would like to see less of in 2011 in regards of the forums. Topics that are build solely around x part vs. y part. It is especially the vs. part that raises the hairs in my neck. As a comparison in that way is real hard to make.

Anyhow, enough of this!

Let the fireworks begin:

My motto for 2011 will be this.

Learn from the past. Look forward to the future. Live for today.

Now only if I could get my kids and myself healthy for 2011. I am really going to start ramping up the workouts and bike time. No road builds this year as I have all that I could want. Need to rebuild the Pedal Force MT with SRAM XX and pick up some new XX brakes. I might at that point take the used parts and put them onto a 1 X 9 full rigid build.

Wishing you all the best in 2011. May you have a safe and amazing 2011.

Cheers.

happy new year.....

x and y parts are just "names" "brands", unimportant at the end. a and b people are variety...... variety makes our living interesting, like salt and pepper in a good soup. ;)

healthy 2011

x part vs. y part could make a good thread, depending on the values of x and y. For instance, what is the difference in weight, stiffness, durability, and comfort between part x and and the SL version of part x. On the other hand, maybe not so good when a first time poster who provides no information about him or herself, his or her riding or preferences asks whether he/she should buy a Parlee Z1, a Pinarello Dogma, or a Richard Sachs.

I say let part x vs. part y threads stand, unless someone quotes in a reply.

And madcow's brake, crank, etc. shootouts could be viewed as part x vs. part y vs. part z vs. ... Most folks seems to like those shootouts.

Happy New Year!
Thanks Frankie - B for keeping WW a nice little island of sanity on the internet.
I hope to keep up the riding, and keep down the weight (me and my bike).
Time to start my new spreadsheet for the year. I hate seeing that big zero in row one, with 2 feet of snow in front of my house. Well, let the miles begin!
