I'm still waiting to see an AX Lightness alpha with a kickstand*. Does anyone know what AX's torque spec is for that? I presume you can't just go by the torque spec on the kickstand itself.

* This would not qualify as a freak if the kickstand were CF

Sssskkiidddiinnnggg alert here !!!....

I'm reading the forum rules:

"Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning."

"Anyone aggressive, overly sarcastic, provocative or otherwise not courteous will receive one warning then be banned. In severe cases bans may occur without prior warnings."

I'm with Js an Caughtonfire (prendrefeu) on this one...

So trying to get things going again here...

This is the image that popped into my head when I originally saw this topic (sorry I couldn't find a larger size):

I'll assume this is the same bike JMilliron posted on page two, but from the side, things are so much clearer.

The lock wrapped around the seatpost (a combo/cable job) is the one point that really says this must be a joke... maybe it was Trek themselves who put this one out, when they were having trouble keeping Madone's in stock - surely this would slow things down!!

Also, sheerly for the fact that Guru were doing no-cost custom-geometry at the time, I really think this bike needs to be here too:

No -- true Hippser bikes don't have brakes.

Good point.
Can brakes also be considered as a form of Hipster cyst? *
A hipster would lose the RD as well.

* (Must give BikeSnob credit for the Hipster Cyst comment. Priceless...)

The interesting thing is that even though this is quite a large frame, it's looking like it's still a bit small or less than ideal: there's a significant amount of stack on the steerer!

If I saw this on the street though (which, if I lived in SF, I would've), a little piece of my heart would break off and cry. :(
Then my inner Jens Voigt would crush that sorry piece into nothingness.

I know I'm not cool, and this one just goes to prove it. Yes this is actually one of my own bikes.
