Huh. Looks painted.
Know what I would do? (Almost immediately, actually... heck: weigh it, then do the following)
-Sand blast the cap, remove all the paint.
-Hard anodize Type III in whatever color you choose.
It will then probably be a bit lighter if that is indeed paint.

Or just buy it anodised instead?

OK, Tune Cappy = 73 grams...painted 
Went on the Cento Uno, and I can give it a solid thumbs up.
No flexing or creaking, as was indeed the case with both my MCFK stubby.
Seems like a solid product.
