I'm currently using the Deda Newton set-safe but heavy. What's the best way to go-combining light weight and safety? My own weight is 70 Kg.

Try Schmolke bars and a Syntace F99 stem
Success is how far you you bounce back up after being knocked down

Syntace F99 and Kestrel EMS Pro SL, anywhere from 265g - 295g, depending on size. Both very durable, kestrel has lifetime warrenty.
