Nearly 7.4kg? Don't see where's the additionnal weight except the wheels? Are they that much heavy?

They are pretty heavy. They are Cane Creek Velos wheels. The rear is the Velos XL version and the front is the regular Velos version. I'll put them on the scale and see what they weigh later today.

A tad heavy indeed for your size.
Must be mainly a "wheels factor" but you could save here and there as well.
Are those Elite cages the alloy ones?

Yup. Wheels. And what crank is that?

Nice looking machine, in any event.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
Yes, the Elite cages are the alloy ones (which I am looking into replacing, but don't have anything else at the moment).
The crank is the S-Works BB30 crank which I added Stronglight CT2 rings to so that it would work well with Chorus 11 speed. I am looking to get the black carbon spider for the crank, but am finding it impossible to find at this point. They are even sold out on the Specialized site. If anyone can find me one I'll buy you a drink. :beerchug:

Very nice. Rarely you see Specialized with Campagnolo. At least I don't see them frequently. Plenty of places to trim fat in that bike. Wheels are an obvious one. So are the rest of the components.

mayby u can have the lightning version of the carbon spider
as the specialized crank design arrives from lightning it should fit
mind you i am waiting for ages to arrive myself
but its 15 gram lighter and a bit more aero so its worth the wait

tochnics: Thanks for the tip. Where can you get just the spider? I am looking online, but cannot find anywhere to buy it without the rest of the crank. Maybe I'll give them a call directly and see if I can order it right from Lightning.
