Windsurfing in Denmark - Im NOT as good as these guys on a board, but I do love windsurfing in the waves - Something quite different from hammering on a road:

A couple of NielPryde promo videos.

A lot of windsurfing gear (Masts, booms etc) is made of carbon and built withstand severe forces.
I have had both windsurfing gear, bags and wetsuits made by NP and all have been of excellent quality! So they have quite a brand to live up to. I think they will.

I'm looking forward to seeing more reviews on these bikes - particularly the Alize. I think they could do really well.

For anyone interested, NeilPryde Bikes are running a competition to win a bike for a year to use and write about (blog)... http://www.neilprydebikes.com/usd/customform/epicridercompetition

I've put up info about the bikes on my blog ... but am still looking for more proper reviews to post and this thread is one of the first. There are very few reviews to date but in fairness I don't they've been shipping for long .... please do post more ride feedback when you have it - thanks!

Enjoy.

Really love the look of the new Diablo, as anyone seen a test ride report yet?

nycmtber, Thanks for posting about the Alize - very interesting ride!

You mention coming from a Cervelo RS, which is my current ride. Can you elaborate on the difference in ride quality, handling, harshness?

Thanks,

The Alize is just as smooth riding - really smooth, I think, but the front end handles a lot better with the tapered HT. It feels more connected during high speed descents.

The Alize also handles cross winds better due, I assume, to the aero design of the tubes. They are tough to capture in photos but they are highly manipulated. The build quality and design, imo, are clearly superior on the Alize compared to the RS.

The fit will obviously be a bit different since the HT is shorter on the Alize.

Thanks for the feedback. I would expect the handling to be a little sharper than a Cervelo RS; it feels really slow in the steering department. I can't just lay it over and make it turn. I believe that the build quality is better; the joints on the Alize (at least the pictures that I can see) seem really smooth and finished. The seat cluster on my RS looks like a six year old's art project.

I'm really interested in you describing the Alize as smooth coming from an RS. The Cervelo is supposed to be a smooth bike with the curved seatstays and all.

Anywho, thanks for the review on your blog and your response here!
