Tim....that looks like one dialed in bike. Makes me excited to try mine out. Beautiful bike...what's the final weight? Mine came in at 13.09 lbs with Di2 and power tab hub.

I'm surprised the Parlee's heavier despite the advantage of lighter shifters, lighter crank, and parity in much else.

What's the frame and fork weight on the two?

Nice R3SL. Mine is similar but slightly heavier at 14.4 lbs. Still have plenty of ways to drop weight. I was very anxious for the Dorico.. looks like competitive cyclist is carrying it now and should be in stock soon.

In the 'above' lists - the Cervelo had the C24 TU's - Carbon Tubulars - which are about 200+g lighter than the C24 CL's - Carbon Laminated Clinchers.

Parlee (in M/L) was 885g with the (included) Seatpost Clamp - a little heavier than I was thinking - but the ride is well worth the few extra grams !

I got the R3SL back in 2007 - before I discovered WW 'dom - so must confess that I've not got a bare weight for it :?

Not too crazy about the clamp on the Dorico.. I really dig the clean look of the doric though.

Some new PICs ... and the Cervelo is now gone. Just couldn't compete with the Climbing, Descending, and All-Day Comfort on the Z5.
Did the Santa Cruz Mountain Challenge (110mi/10,500ft) a week ago - and had a blast. Weather was great. The Z5 with Di2 is just so
fun, comfortable, fast to ride. Plenty stiff for hard climbs, but just super comfortable for a 6hr ride.

Tim, very nice. I know fit is a very personal thing but I notice you went from a layback seatpost to a 0 degree edge seatpost. I have a Z5 also that I'm building but mines a medium with a long headtube and I'm wondering if I can get away with a 0 degree seatpost, I'm 5,10". I also have long legs for my height and with the parlee's seattube angle of 73.5 maybe with the seatpost sticking out quite far a 0 degree seatpost still gets you over the bb.

I needed about 13mm of SetBack - and the 'bent' Thomson was right in that range - but I wanted to find something in UD Carbon. Tough - as most of the Offset posts
are more in the 25+mm range - which meant that I'd be sliding my seat all the way forward (looking like I was ready for a TT).

I was able to measure the actual 'offset' on the Edge 0mm post - and it was right in the sweet-spot for what I needed - because of the way they position the clamps.

Hey folks...forum NOOB here, search function NOOB...

I'm thinking of a Parlee z5. I weight around 175lbs. Can the bike handle a heavier rider?

My guess is that a mail to parlee should sort you out.
Also, i think that 175 lbs should be just fine for a Z5.

FWIW, I ride a Z4, weigh ~185 and have (so far) no issues. considering the lifetime warranty, i think you should be fine.
