Honestly I can't understand why there's not more interest. The design, or is it just people aren't so into advertising the forum?

Hey I ordered both the jersey and the bibs as they are awesome looking and would be great on a ww build.

I am sorry that this order did not go through as I wanted the kit for my Grand Fondo this year.

I love WW's, but gotta say I'd prefer a more, ahem, aggresive design.
As in more blacks, blues, etc. and way less orange...but that's just one man's opinion!

Can you post a design sketch? Your suggestion is rather broad.

One of the issues is we worked with the theme of the website. Color will always be a matter of taste; I happen to really like the orange, but the weenie is orange, and orange doesn't work so well with other colors.

Feeding back on the colour scheme.. Orange is a bit loud in tone to me. If the scheme had a bit more 'peleton' feel about it, it might get more interest.

Whites / blues perhaps / text inset in orange? - a bit less novelty, a bit easier on the eye. (I just took that theme from the 'post reply page')

I'd be happy enough doing a training ride in this kind of kit (i.e. a kit relating to WW & the tech ethos behind the site), but really you don't want every last rider on a club run having a crack at you about it. Which in the UK, believe me they would. Ruthlessly so.

A recent thread poking fun at the footon kit (i.e. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=61797&p=669192&hilit=footon#p669192) kinda highlights this perhaps.

I've worn it so far @ Terrible Two, the San Jose Livestrong Challenge, and the Mt Tamalpais Double, and have had only good comments so far. Maybe it's a California thing.

The Dutch don't seem to mind orange much....

Nor do the Basque:

@ djconnel - I'm thinking races are different to the rib tickling your average joe would dish out on a club run.

The club kit I have to wear for races makes me look like a smurf, but 'cos its race day you'd never get anyone taking the piss about it.

I'd have thought ww kit is going to be used by guys on the off-days and leisure runs when their out with club mates, so that's why I'd got a interest in something that doesn't scream so much.

I guess everyone is different. I tend to ask myself - can I have a serious conversation with a car driver if I am out in this kit and they've just cut me up / done some horrific dangerous driving .... I just don't think any one would take me seriously in the orange outfit as is.

Well if anyone has at least a jersey in MED they want to sell, I would be willing to get it. I really wanted a full kit. DAMN.

You might like Starbike's Weightweenies jersey.

I've got the original Starbike jersey and must say that makes me look even more devilishly handsome than I really am.

The original jersey is just low budget. I've the original one, where the ziptie broke after several times and i've the 'orange' kit. Believe me...that orange one is a hell of a nice and hightech kit!

Honestly? the design of the kit is just awful.

There's constructive criticism and there's lazy criticism....

Anyway, I look forward to your design.

DJ - i'm not good with e-design but I'm afraid I don't like the kit either, though would wear WW kit in principle.

Maybe it would be a good idea to take a generally considered nice kit and then subsitute the motifs and text?

What about the GF Sportful kit ... right colours and a nice kit in person

I guess the way I see the question, though, is whether any didn't sign up in the last offering solely because they didn't like the kit design? If not, then redisigning is something of a waste if we still can't generate the required number of interested buyers at the $190 price point, or whatever it was. I'd love to see this get off the ground again, but I think we need more information about the cause of the failure last time...
