Dont your remember the late 90's at MTBR and the comments you made ?
It seems your reputation hasnt improved since.

"For non customer troublemakers of many years "Superlight and Tim", same old games eh chums?"

Im sorry ? but this is my first time i ever made comment about you and your product.

Trying to inform a person about what happened in recent time.

Carbon lord, this isn't the place for you to post, or reply to posts. It's very poor business ethics for you to come in here a speak of your product and complain of our disatisfaction of your product. Everyone has there own opinion and if you don't like what we think, well sorry. If you treated people with better respect and honored you "lifetime warrenties" posts like this wouldn't be popping up all over the internet would they?

Also, like Tim pointed out it is also my first time to post about your product. Same old games?

Actually, having bought one of Carbon Lord products I applaud him for posting. Since I was forced to spend an extra $100-$150 on a new BB I might take Carbon Lord up on the Life time warranty. We will see if he is good for his word.

Even so, it is still poor buisness eithics for him to come here. But now that we have a situation lets see what he does.

Superlight, I thought this was a public forum and since neither you or Tim have ever done business with me and this is both your "first time" posting about me, why would anyone validate your "opinion"?

You were the first to respond Superlight, lets recap:

Superlight "One word, CRAP! Stay away, many people have had delamination issues, there junk."

Tims first response: Tim, "The cranks arent milled properly, people had issues with bb interface and chainring. Plus the seller is a scum dont expect warranty or refund."

Tims 2nd response (to superlight): Tim, "Youre correct the sellers the problem in this case. Nothing wrong with Gigantex they make all the carbon based FSA stuff"

Both of you certainly had enough negative things to say for first time posters. Where do you have the authority? Do you know someone that broke this product or received a bad deal? Did you do any deals with me, ever? Not even an email? And then when I do give a long and what I consider to be a reasonable response to both you and Tim's way off remarks, you decide it's not my place to do so? I'll never understand people like you. When you find some validity in your comments, I'll be eager to respond with reason. Until then, let the public forum be the public forum and expect response when you talk about someone you don't know.

@ CorbonLORD

Are you trying to save your business here? This has got nothing to do with lite bikes. You asked us your opinion. And you GOT IT! This topic is done!

No Frankie, I'm trying to get members such as yourself to realize, people like Tim and superlight are not customers yet have a lot of opinions without anything to back up their statements.

The first post was about bicycle parts. Posted by benz76 but the usual suspects went overboard, again. Where might you fit into all of this remains a mystery?

I've made more then enough reasonable and detailed responses that I'm confident people will be able to formulate an opinion of their own.

If you have a problem with me fine, but I do expect there is a reason.

I've said my part.

Your mistery is very simple, i haven't followed this topic this was the first time i saw it. And this was the first thing that came to my mind. (I read the comlpete topic)

I can understand that you have problems with some reactions, but this is not the way they should be sorted out The only way you can and this is for instance send superlite and Tim a set of crancks and let them give a honest reaction. Trust me, They will.

The mistery of you being here isn't still quite clear to me. Storck Has got Mutch lighter crancks. And we only care about weight. And if i have to believe VeloCity (i do to be honest) your cracks weigh as much as the 105 cranckset. Thats nice for a trainingbike, but not for our weenie projects.

i think i rest my case here.

Good bye, I'm going to bed! (it's 0:30 here!)

Haha, you think they don't know we never bought your product? We would never put that heavy stuff our bike. Trust me, they know.

Well here's there opinions the people have formulated.

http://www.cyclingforums.com/showthread/t-50628.html

Submitted by Brendan a Weekend Warrior from Boulder, CO, USA

Date Reviewed: 11/25/02 9:25:42 AM

Duration Product Used: 2 Years

Purchased At: bills bikes

Strengths: Cool looks. Lightweight.

Weaknesses: I loved these cranks until they started falling apart! These cranks have a aluminum inserts where the crank connects to the BB and pedals. The insert for the pedal has come loose to the point that you can actually wiggle it. Bad design, should have been one piece of aluminum instead of inserts. I have searched high and low trying to reach customer support but finally gave up. Don't buy these!

Similar Products Tried: XT, Kooka

Bike Setup: Giant hard tail

Bottom Line: Customer support is nonexistent. I think it is a foreign company. I was told they carried a lifetime warranty, but what good is that if you can't contact them! I'd be very wary of these. I have seen other carbon cranks that feature one-piece aluminum insert; I would imagine they would not suffer the same weakness. I think i paid $250. I wish I could have it back!

I find this one to be particular intersting.

While I should be surfing for porn, I'm instead reading this forum topic. There seems to be some heated issues here, I don't see what the ethical issue is though. In fact, Superlite, weren't you going through this same deal with your pedal inserts... anyway, that's not the point I'm trying to make. I DO think this is a good forum for product developers and bike part innovators to participate in. I don’t think we should exclude him. He's obviously not trying to market his product. He has an opinion just like the rest of us. I've got a soft heart for innovators and criticism.

You forget, I'm not a business, I'm a student. You also don't see people talking crap about my product all over the internet either do you?

Obviously I never went throught the "same deal" and I'm insulted you say that. I mearly asked the opinion of the board if they thought it was a product that people would buy. Do you ever hear me speak about my product or promote it? No, because it's not proper business ethics.

And Carbon lord isn't trying to design a product, he's trying to justify his faulty products.

Not trying to be rude on this note, but it doen't seem like very many people here know a damn thing about business ethics. :? You guys should do some reading on it and learn a thing or two.

Why is it unethical to defend your product from critisicm?

He has offered to fix the problems of people here who have problems with the product he distributes. Let him do so.

If after promising a solution to a problem in a public forum, he does not come to a satisfactory agreement, then complain. But for someone to whinge about contacting problems when (his statment) 7 e-mails in 2 days and he got back to them on the third is a bit much (note this wasn't challenged).
Success is how far you you bounce back up after being knocked down

I don't know if the cranks are good or not .. but I'd personally welcome any seller or manufacturer to respond to any criticism (or praise for that matter) in any forum, here or otherwise. I don't see in anyway that it is unethical .. responding to criticism happens all the time in the free press and media. After all, that's why it's called "free press". If you don't like what someone says then change the freekin channel :!: I think it can only improve the forum and possibly even improve the products if some of those responsible for distributing or production took feedback from here seriously. Or maybe a more significant question: *Should* they take feedback from here seriously?!

Too many off the responces on this site now days are way to emotional, I think saying a product is crap that you have never used before is a bit thoughtless. Maybe better wording would convey your point better
