Hi everyone, i'm new in the forum and about to embark on a Merckx journey on the Majestic Ti ride. was wondering if anyone's got information on the said frame? is it straight gauge or butted? using Reynold's tubing? is also a combination of 6/4 at the bottom bracket and dropouts to increase strength? finally what's the weight of the frame with fork? i've done quite a lot of search but nothing much comes up.
appreciate it if someone can chip in.
thanks very much.

cheers.

I believe they were fabricated to Merckx' geometry by Litespeed (the original Litespeed), in the USA, but can't help more than that, sorry.

The guys at Lynksey might remember more detail.

Send an email to Gita Sports who are the US distributor. They are very helpful when it comes to Ti Merckx's. I have an Ex. The Majestic is more like an update Ax. Its up market companion was the Millenium with the massive downtube. Merckx spec'd the tubing and geometry, Litespeed sourced the tubes and built the frame. My Ex, frame only, is 1440gr in a 51 size.
The facts, while interesting, are not relevant.......
