Those Cervelo aero's looks so tight when build up right! - I would love to see your bike with a couple of 808's or similar 80 mm. wheels :)

@ eigner

I used the yellow plugs with a dab of superglue. It was either that or standard rim tape and since the velo plugs weigh next to nothing and super glue weighs next to nothing it seemed to work out pretty good.

How did you get the white stripes off?

I had the frame professionally sanded down to expose as much of the UD carbon on the top, seat and down tube as possible then I have the rest of the frame sprayed black. It is hard to see but in the sun and close up, the UD carbon shows up very well and looks awesome next to the UD cabon on the wheels.

It is still not complete and will not be complete until it hits 12.99 lbs or 5890g. Until then it will be a work in progress. I have a few items to complete in the next week which should drop the weight down that much and buying a new carbon saddle is not an option yet. And it has to have clinchers wheels.

Awesome.. 12.99lb goal is impressive..

I halted my project at R3SL at 13.8lbs. I can't imagine getting another pound off without sacrificing durability.

Would love to hear where you got it painted and approx. cost. thanks!
