installing CT2 chainrings

Joined: Mon May 15, 2006 12:19 am Posts: 457 Location: Kingston, ON	I just ordered a set of Stronglight rings to replace the stock ones that came with my Force crankset (for aesthetic reasons, mostly). Is there a specific orientation for the chainrings relative to the crank arms, or can I just slap them on any which way?

Aesthetically, I think the force ones are nicer, because the base of the "feet" on the ct2s are wider than the spider arms on the cranks. _________________ "Any intelligent fool can make things bigger, more complex, and more violent. Joined: Thu Oct 02, 2008 3:38 am Posts: 244 Location: Toronto, ON	you don't need the chain drop pin, my rings didn't come with it either just line it up so the pin hole is behind the crank arm pretty sure the sram one won't fit, the sram one i think is just pushed in, the ct2 one is threaded

For the small ring, though, I didn't see anything to indicate orientation, so I just lined up the logos with the big ring.

CT2 rings don't have one fitted in the factory, but stapled to the packaging. Very easy to miss and throw away unfortunately! _________________ Adalta Cycling Club
