I'm not sure about the gram weight, but the niner scandium air9 and the giant XTC 29'er frame both are pretty similar in weight. right at 3.1 lbs I believe.

BikeRadar reports, and I can verify, the Fisher Superfly weighs in at 1.3kg (2.9lb)

My 2010 SS frame actually came in a little lighter but I wasn't surprised given the lack of cable bosses (weighed without the slider hardware)

My Lynskey Ridgeline 29 size small came in at 3.1 lbs. An amazing bike and 21.5 fully built.

niner carbon air9 is rumoured to be sub 3lb, although I haven't seen an actual weight.

For anything alloy, without EBB or sliders you're looking at about 1300-1400g.

Cannondale flash 29er would be very light too, I imagine.

The aluminum 29ers are more in the range of 1600-1800 depending on the size. The Fisher, Specialized, and Cannondale are all starting at 1200g in the smaller sizes, and up from there.

I don't recall the weight of the Niner frame but they are in production now. I suspect they're a little heavier due to the essentric BB.

Scott is rumored to be releasing "the lightest 29er frame ever".

They say they're going for the lightest 29er tag, seems pretty impressive. Shame the 26" ones are heavier really!

On One are releasing a 29er hard tail frame and it's claimed to weigh under 1Kg and to be the lightest ever made you may want to wait for that to come out.

yesterday i received a mail from on one 'bout that 29er carbon ht frame.
Very cheap, but it's a 456, that isn't the good base to build a race 29er HT, or
is it?

Edit: just read the mail again, frame should weigh around 1500gr :noidea:
