 Thanks guys!

Thought i'd do a quick into to the forums... I'm Dan all the way from Melbourne, Australia, used to cycle back in my late high school days which also kept me in shape for tennis which sooner rather than later ended up giving up trying to go pro. Anyway the weight has now started to stack on 7-8 years later and fitness dropping off, so the solution? Get back into cycling with a new bike build which was very tempting. After watching the tdf and other races throughout the years (up late at night here) i had to get my arse back on the saddle!

Anyway bike build as follows:

2010 Cannondale CAAD9 BB30 BBQ with Premium carbon fork
2010 Sram Force BB30 groupset
Thomson Masterpiece setback seat post
Thomson 120mm 10degree x2 Stem
Cane Crees is3i threadless headset
Easton EC90 SLX3 44cm handlebars
Easton EC90 Aero wheelset mounted with continental sprinter tubulars
Elite race bottle cages
Polar cs200cad computer
Yokozuna cable set
Fizik Arione CX Braided saddle in black
Fizik Microtex bartape in white

currently the wheels + tyres are on their way then its off to the workshop!

will see how the weight pans out, so far it seems will be under 16lbs (fingers crossed) i'd love to change the fork to either egde 2.0 or 3t or time, and some lightweight accessories (KCNC seat clamp, skewers and cage bolts)

thanks Juan!

So far have been eagerly weighing all of the components as the come in (funny that because the kitchen scales are no other than a 'weigh watchers' brand!)

Some components came in a bit heavier than expected, in particular the frameset (it could also be the scales aren't accurate?):

Components weighed so far:
2010 Cannondale CAAD9 size 56 BBQ BB30 frameset with cage bolts + rear hanger + seat collar no headset: 1337g
Premium full carbon fork: 428g
2010 SRAM Force group: BB30 172.5 39/56, 12/25, force front + rear derailleur, force shifters, shimano front hangar, chain, bb30 bearings: 2176g
Easton EC90 Aero Tubular: waiting delivery (about 1350g)
Thomson Masterpiece post setback 27.2: 156g
Thomson x2 120mm 10deg: 151g
Easton EC90 SLX3 44cm: 230g
Fizik Arione CX Braided rails Black: 178g
Cane Creek IS-3i: 61g
Fizik MicroTex White: 80g
Speedplay Zero CrMo pedals black:220g

All I've weighed so far, bike weight disassembled just going by parts will be about 15.85lb, i'd love to get it down to the 15lb uci limit somehow down the track. Anyway will wait and see once it's weighed assembled on shop scales.

Just for the record, I'm curious what's the real weight of the Yokozuna housings (and cables) . Was asking myself if they were available as housings only...

Thanks for posting...

Great project BTW  Full race machine !!!

Welcome, love the project. We opted for some of the same parts. Looking forward to hear how your experience installing Yokozunas compared with mine!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! :beerchug:

Hopefully there is no trouble with the yoko's installation looking forward to using them, time will tell, i'm fussy when things get built, so will go over it with a fine tooth comb to make sure everything is up to spec (builder's gonna hate me! will drop it all off to Evan at Cyclic Cycles down here in Flemington)

ok, just weighed the entire contents of the yokozuna reaction system cable system (minus packaging) and it came in as a whopping 294g

Now, that weight may reduce, depending on how much cable and its accessory crimps etc we use (i hope to at least try reduce it by 100g - see how we go)
