My new Cervelo R3-SL....

Build List
- Cervelo 2010 R3-SL 56cm, 3T Funda Team fork
- Campagnolo Super Record gruppo (175mm crank, 53-39 chainrings, 12-27 cass)
- Ritchey WCS Carbon 2-bolt seatpost
- Ritchey WCS 4-axis 44 100mm (waiting on a new 110mm)
- Easton EC90 SLX3 46cm
- Prologo Scratch
- CaneCreek headset
- Camapagnolo Neutron wheels
- Michelin Axial Pro 25c (oldschool) w/Michelin ultralite tubes
- Elite cages
- Time RXS Ulteam Titan

My inaccurate bathroom scale puts it at 7.0 Kg....I suspect it may be closer to the 6.8Kg mark. The Axial Pro 25c tires are the most significant anchor, but they are the best tires I have ever ridden and I just can't get rid of them.

Enjoy,
EM3

(Moderator, I think I fixed the picture size problem, hope this is better size)

Very nice indeed! But that R3SL scheme is just screaming for Zipp tubs and 3T Ltd parts :D

Very, very nice.

For some reason I just like the Cervelo R3 family... :D

hey em3,

nice build

did you get any problems to mount the crankset? I got big problems last year with my campa record and the slc-sl, so I called cervelo... the official statement was "our frames are not compatible with campagnolo-products because of the tolerances between crankset and the cable bar"!?

greetings from germany,

janki :welcome:

Thanks for your comments. I just put a bit longer (110mm) RItchey Carbon Matrix stem to match the seatpost...saved a whopping 6 grams (compared to the 4-Axis 100mm), but the carbon weave on the stem is really nice. Will post new pics soon.

Yeah, the Zipp tubs would be really great but not ideal for NYC tarmac. As for the 3t stuff, thats what I started with but just couldn't get along with any of their bars.

I think the issue you are referring to regarding crank rub was limited to some of the S3 frames with wide aero chainstays...I thought they fixed the issue? On the R series there is plenty of clearance. The only clearance issue is with my 25c tires under the 3T fork...I only have about 2mm clearance.
