Widened the holes for the bolts first, since the original bolts were M5 (or was it M4?). Next I took the half pipe outside and used a grinding bit to chew off as much as I could, with the old EC90 thread as a reference- viewtopic.php?t=14674" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; An hour later, here it is.
EC90 Stock, 270mm = 169.3g
Carbon post, no hardware = 95.6g
Stock hardware(yokes, bolts, halfpipe) = 73.7g
EC90 with new hardware = 138.2g (-31.1g)
Carbon post, cut to ~220mm = 73.9g (-21.7g)
New hardware = 38.9g (-34.8g)
After dremel work = 112.5g (-56.8g)
Beat felix by half a gram! But he did this four years ago, so I say he still wins. I think it would be lighter if it was the weave version, as felix had his cut to 260mm and mine is cut to 220mm. However, I bought the UD version to match the BMCs UD carbon frame. Thanks for looking!
