Why dont you remove the shifter indicator pods?

It weights quite a bit -- its the stock seat that came with the bike. I have been meaning to replace it with a nice lightweight saddle for the longest time, specifically an AX-Lightness seat, but just haven't gotten around to ordering it yet. Hopefully soon, though.

Thats a good point, I don't look at them. I think I will take them off.


Pedals are also going to definately go, perhaps replaced by speedplays or 959's.

Also thinking of getting a nice light new wheelset -- maybe soul kozak + sapim cx rays + AM classic 350 rims (can you get these rim only?). The XL's are on the heavy side, but are pretty durable and the low spoke count looks oh so good

Hello everyone!

These are my rides. Rotwild is for everyday training. About 12 kg and very comfortable with Fox Vanilla R125 fork and Continental Survival Protection 2.3" tyres. Ghost is for special occasions only . I ride it approximately once a week. About 9.7 kg with Michelin Comp S Light tyres which I normally ride contrary to the picture. I was impressed by the rideability of the Michelin's. BTW, Ghost was built by our sponsors, who keep up this great site.

Very nice bike, adrenalin. How many different gear ratios can you select with the Rohloff hub? Do you know much your entire bike weighs? I can't imagine it weighs very much...

the rohloff gear box offers 14 gears, all with the same graduation to the next one.

the weight is 8,8 kg (i wrote it in the headline, but it is very small )

Roholff use internal hub gears which is operated by a 14 click gripshift shifter.
There are no duplicated ratios like a 3x9 setup, and the 14 gears have the same range as a 3x9 system.

It's a very good solution, especially if you are in an area with alot of mud!

Its not as light as a XTR 3x9 setup, but its not too heavy. Only problem all the weight is in the wheel and the rear.
