Just finished my cross bike so I thought I would show it here :-)

Build-liste:
Scott Cx Team alu frame (size extra small)
4ZA Phyton fullcarbon fork
FSA Cx semi-integrated headset with hanger
20mm carbon spacer
Rotor S2 stem (31,6/100mm)
Zipp SL handlebars (420mm c/c)
FSA Super Grip bar tape
AX Lightness Daedalus seatpost (31,6/250mm)
Tune Speedneedle alcantara seat
CarbonTI alu seatpostclamp (34,9mm)
Sram Red double tap levers
Sram Red rear derailleur with KCNC alu pulleywheels and bolt
Sram Red cassette (12-26)
Shimano Dura Ace FD-7800 front derailleur with alu bolts
KMC X10L chain
FSA K-Force Light crankarms (170mm, 130BCD)
FSA 46T/Specialites TA 38T chainrings
Crank Brothers Eggbeater 4Ti pedals
TRP EuroX Mag brakes with alu bolts and Powercordz straddles (1,7mm)
Shimano Dura Ace WH-7850-C50-TU wheels
Tufo Flexus Cubus tubular (34mm) with Tufo sealant
Tune AC16+17 qr
Alligator I-Link housing (gears: gold/brakes: silver)
Powercordz cables (gears: 1,2mm/brakes: 1,7mm)

Verified weight is 7,11 kg.

The bike is not a hardcore race bike and some things could probably have been more race-like such as the seatpost, seat and cassette but I'm sure that I will enjoy the bike.

I'm a little annoyed that the bike didn't end at sub 7 kg (just a hope hehe) so this will be the goal.

Upcoming changes:
Tune DC14 qr
Extralite Scalhead headset
Cablehanger
FRM alu brake studs for frame
XX Light Bikes tuningkit for Sram Red derailleur
Alligator I-Link Ultralight housing
KMC X10SL chain

Pictures sucks - I know, but just finished the bike and wanted to share.

What do you think? :-)

Thanks for the comments - hope it will ride well. Only tried a short ride.

To be honest - the frame looks nice but is very heavy. 1521 grams in extra small  can't call that light hehe.

Dennis - bike's not for sale... yet :-D

What do you think about white handlebartape?

Mads... sweet scotty scoot. :beerchug:

But aren't you a little late for cross season? Remember that god awful thread about the guy who broke an AX post on his cross bike and then whined that it was defective?

I have a feeling this is your winter trainer... but I suggest you put on a *normal* saddle and post if you race it.

Also might want to consider a more durable chain for cross. I saw a guy snap an X10SL at a CX race this season. Oh yeah... and a dog fang too...

Want some? I built mine with white tape and that lasted about 10 min... keep the black.

Good work. Really nice bike.
I was puzzled by the weight too then I re-saw it was the alloy frame. I bet an XS carbon would be wicked light.
Is this the winter bike? I am a little confused with some WW parts all over the bike (AX post and speedneedle carbon saddle, carbon ti seat clamp) and then heavy cranks/ wheels and tires. Racer or trainer bike?

Thanks Rich - still jealous of your ritchey wcs wheels :-) But you're right - I don't think I'm gonna race it which is why I have choosen some of the components (seat, seatpost, cassette). My form is very bad and most trails here are in very bad condition so instead of roadriding I hope to have some fun on the gravel roads. I think it can handle this.

I was thinking of getting some syntetic white bartape so it's easier to wash but you're probably right about keeping the black tape.

Is a dog fang a must if I use front derailleur?

Coloclimber (also with a sweeeeet cyclocross bike),

It's a mix between a ww-thing (despite heavy frame, wheels, crank) but still ridable not probably not racing. Next years project could be a Scott CX carbon frame (if they change the routing of the rear brake cable) and some lighter wheels. It could be about 6 kg.

It's a winter and summerbike - just a have fun bike with nice parts.

Are the Tufo Plexus Cubus tubulars that heavy? I was quite surprised when I weight them - 34mm is 360/380 grams. Got them suggested from another cx racer.

One point about riding on gravel roads, as I do a lot of it. Put some 3m clear bra material on the leading edges of your carbon cranks and on the lower underside area of your downtube.

The front tire throws up quite a lot of rocks that will put dings in the cranks and on the frame above the BB.

My 7800 cranks must have about 100 pit marks on them...

I can't see why you need a dog fang when you're using a front derailleur.

As I said before, nice bike.

can still loose the chain off the inside. Even with a front mech.
