Hi,

Excellent, Madcow...a terrific Public Service Announcement...should be a sticky.

Absolutely. Well done, madcow.

Just one suggestion; would it be possible to state on the list the original material used (if known at all) and the suggested one to replace that?

For example:
Original hardened steel: replacement titanium > possible vendor.
Original: Aluminium alloy: light alu alloy > possible vendor.

Furthermore, but it'll take some work and a precison scale, original weight, new > saving.

This is just a suggestion though, feel free to reject it 8) .

Ciao,

I updated the list with this, I went off of memory but Im pretty sure these are all right. The last column is original/replacement.

for more savings carbon bolts can be used in place of almost all aluminum bolts. But do not substitue for the Ti ones. And there are some exceptions such as if using power cordz, Ti pinch bolts work better than aluminum

Some bolts such as set type are very hard to find in any form other than steel, so some modifications may have to be made to bh and tsh to fit them.
