Hehe - I wouldn't cut the steerertube because I was going to change the forks! It's now replaced with a Fox F80X fork and the steerertube is cut :-)

what type of damper is that? Are you satisfied with the overall stiffness of the TREK rear end?

No no - It's a Manitou Swinger SPV rear shock without the sticker! Was damaged under a servicecheck and haven't received a new one yet!

My fuel feels very stiff and stable with the manitou swinger rear shock - has improved the performance to almost "hardtailquality with a rear shock". A very good shock!

Sorry to tell you that my disc rotors are boring - I have a Formula B4 disc on the front and a Shimano XT on the rear! I would like the new hope rotors but I'm still wondering if I should go with the normal 160/160mm setup or I should replace my rear caliber and go the the lighter 160/140mm setup and shave some extra weight!
