hey there!
I'm new to the site and thought I'd introduce myself and my bike. In the process I'm in the market for some new tires and wanted something of the same quality as the UST pythons I have now but a little lighter. I want to stay with UST specific tires and am looking for some replacements. A pic and parts list are below for your veiwing pleasure. :D
-2002 K2 Razorback Team frame
-2002 Manitou Mars Super
-Mavic CrossRoc UST wheelset
-Huthinson Python tubeless tires
-Race Face forged XC cranks
-shimano XT rings
-Race face Bash gaurd
-Time Composite pedals
-Avid ultimate levers and v-brakes
-XTR 9 sp shifters
-XTR Rear derailler
-XT front derailler
-Truvativ BB
-Selle Italia genuine gel saddle w/ Ti rails
-Race face XY post
-CaneCreek IS integrated headset
-Race Face prodigy stem
-Answer taperlite bars
-XT cassette

Thanks,
John

Change the Race Face stuff and loose about 200-300 grams. Another seat and handlebars is about 150-200 grams. Change your pedals to a pair of triple ti eggbeaters and loose 200 grams.

Totalt weight-reduction = about 550-700 grams. Price ALOT ;-)

Another saddle would save some weight, too. XTR or Dura Ace cassette as well. Change as soon as XT is worn out.

Go for some other wheels, crossroc's are HEAVY !!!!!

Invest in a nice Tune/Sapim/Mavic combo, topped off with some nice tune skewers and a dura-ace 12-27 cassette (= my setup) and loose a couple of 100's grams 8)
