And now to my all weather training bike, a Cannondale CAAD9 (without BB30). I had high hopes about this bike after reading so many good things about it here on WW’s and it hasnt dissapointed me at all. I installed the Easton EC90 Slx fork to lower the weight as I got it very cheap. I cant feel that much flex as most of you have pointed out but it may be responsible for taking some life out of the frame. Generally it still rides like a dream.

Frame: Cannondale CAAD9
Fork: Easton EC90 SLX
Wheelset: Campy Eurus for adverse weather or WH-7850-C50 T
Skewers: KCNC
Tyres: Michelin Pro 3 (clinchers) // Vittoria Evo CX (when using tubs)
Shifters: DA7800
FD: DA7800
RD: Ultegra SL
Crankset: DA7800
BB: DA7800
Cassette: DA7800
Pedals: Ultegra
Chain: DA7900
Saddle: Fizik Arione
Bars: 3T Ergonova Team
Stem: Ritchey 4-Axis WCS
Seatpost: Thomson Elite
Brakes: DA7800
Cables: Aligator I-link

Final Weight:
With Campy Eurus (Clinchers) – 7.72kg
With Shimano C50’s – 7.42kg

Very nice bike! - Congrats

I'm building up a Caad 9 for myself at the moment and I'm considering getting some eurus wheels. Could you post a pic straigth from the side with the eurus?

What size is it?

Your seatpost is in the wrong way around

I think you maybe right. Do you mean the post it self, the clamp or both?

The clamp has "front" labeled on it so that must be right even though it looks odd with the larger area facing forwards. And I cant get my 3degree nose down any other way. I'm an engineer but I'm a long way away from being a handy man :)

Zak here is a side view with the eurus wheels. Not the greatest of pics with the camouflage effects. Anyhow, you cant go wrong with them. They are the strongest wheels I have ever ridden and run ever so smoothly.

If the clamp front is facing forwards (and I agree, that doesn't seem right at first) then it's just the post that's the wrong way around. It should read 'THOMSON' top to bottom (i.e. 'T' at the saddle and 'N' at the seat tube).

Those shimano tubulars are some of the most under rated wheels out there. Those things are easily right up there with lightweights.
- Zipp rims will break if you look at them too hard
- R-Sys wheels will spontaneously explode
- The ZG crankset will never, ever exist
- Everyone needs Lightweights, even if they're fat and old
- Parts actually made of metal are SO 10 years ago

They come off rather easily. Some acetone or other form of glue remover will do it. They're not under the clear coat.

Ah really! That's excellent to know - I was lead to believe they were under the clear coat.

Yes the Shimano wheels are i think my favourite out of my stable! They are laterally stiffer then either of the reynolds but still comfortable. Most of the weight are in the hubs so they accelerate really good too. I bought them for 999euros at the time so they were a real bargain :)

PS: The decals are average stickers and come off real easy. No acetone needed
