I did a ride in Colorado last summer and noticed a few riders on nice steel frames. The name escapes me, but it was unique and I believe it had a Umlaut over one of the letters (but not Ciocc).

If anyone has an idea what company this could be that would be much helpful.

Ruegamer (with umlaut over the u)?
Don't think they make steel frames though..
This is my Bike. There are many like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my bike is useless. Without my bike, I am useless.

No, not Rue. Since I saw them only in Colorado I'm wondering if CO or based somewhere in the region.

I think you've been seeing some of Rich Gangl's bikes. His logo is topped by a widely spaced umlaut. He's a local Colorado builder out of Golden. A buddy has a new steel rig on order from him now. Lengthy order time but beautiful detail work. Rich has an impressive competitive record including some masters worlds wins and Coors Classic racing and I know a few racers who love his frames.

Snick,
That's the name! Thanks so much for the info. It's been driving me crazy for nearly a year!

I just saw this thread...yes I have one of his ti frames...gorgeous and a great handling machine.

He is the best bike builder that you have never heard of... there was an article about him in a short-run U.S. magazine called 'Asphalt'...
