Ok, I am probably choosing between these two wheelsets:

AC 350
CX Ray
Alloy nipples
(about 1300 g) (Anyone familiar with real weight of 2005 models??)

Nimble Spider rims (24f/28r)
Mig 70/Mag 160
CX Ray
Alloy nipples
(about 1250 g) (Anyone familiar with these rims??)

Info: I only weigh 60 kg, or less when proper trained :D )!
For everyday/race use!

Any feedback would be appreciated! Regards

I'd go for the second wheelset... nimble has a good reputation, and the tune hubs are probably better than what AC is using for 2005.

Don't you think your weights are a little optimistic?

I had a two sets, one shimano other campy, weighed 1273g and 1274g with 28/32 cx-ray spokes.

However, the are horrible wheels in my opinion, too weak.

I would do the second with a slight change. Use nible on the front and Velocity Aerohead OC rim for the rear. I am having a set built up with these rims, the Aerohead in the rear gives a more laterally stiff wheel, and only weigh 395g, +/- 5g.

Another advantage is you can use a 24/28 wheelset and it will be stronger then the 28/32 AM classics.

Also, your weight of the second wheelset should be closer to 1280g - 1300g, depending on the rim weight.

Hey sl, are there any lighter, cheaper (no super expensive carbon rims) rims than the nimble spiders? Just wondering, for my next build.

Progress rims (rebadged 350´s) instead of Nimble; any improvements? Weights are maybe a little optimistic, but weighs I found ranges between 1275-1350.

I just had a set of DTXR4.1 mtb wheels built by Mike. He is terrific! A very nice guy, excellent advice and work, and beautiful wheels. Builds with a lot more than he lists on the site. Definitely recommend him.

I have used Nimble Spider rims for a season and they are strong.
Hubs were awful though. I am 63 kilos and they got through some bad roads on northern european stage races.
Sounds like a nice build - post some pics when you get 'em done!
