I've just purchased an 08 Extreme Power, EITA frame set and need to get a few more parts for the build.

Group will be my 10 Speed Record, until the bank account recovers a bit!, although I might put some 09 Centaur levers on it.... I have those on my CX bike and love the feel (just not the shift action).

Stem and bars are Deda Newton's off of my pervious ride. Selle Italia SLR seat (white).

I need some suggestions on the seat post and brakes. I was thinking a Campy Record post would be a safe bet. Wouldn't conflict with the Deda front end... and is reasonable in the weight department. Any other posts I should consider? AX-Lightness is out of the price range, sadly.

Also, my current ride has Zero G Ti brakes. They have always performed great for me, and are obviously light. But, I keep thinking maybe just regular Record brakes would go with the build better. Just not sure I want to add 80 grams onto the bike. This frame is already going to be a good bit heavier than my previous S-works Tarmac SL.

How about bottle cages? I was thinking white Elite cages or King Ti. I have the King Ti's on all of our MTBs and they are fantastic. Just trying to imagine how they'd look on this frame.

Here's a couple shots of the frame:

Record post is pretty classy. ZG brakes wouldn't clash and would save weight. I would stay away from the King cages however. Even though they are quite awesome, I just don't think they would match well at all. Enjoy the new purchase!

Great bike.

For seatposts I really like the new Colnago 31.6 post.

The Record seatpost has more setback and is pretty sweet as well.

For the calipers- if those brakes really work for you keep them and the weight loss.

I think Elite cages would look great on that bike even though I have King Ti on mine.

That Colnago post is pretty good looking! I need a post with about 25mm of setback, how much does that one have? The size 56 I ordered has a relativly steep STA, at 73.5*.

I think Elite patao carbon or ciussi would go well with that frame...
Btw, very beautifull frameset! I like it.

I got rid of my 0-Gs. I liked them but the modulation and the feel wasn't quite right, it took a trial of putting my training Centaur bikes on my weight weenie ride to confirm this, there's something nicer and more solid about the Record brakes on my ride now, and they never need re-centring. 0-Gs are great but I found I was losing time in corners because of their braking, but that might just be me.

The Record seatpost is good if you need setback. It always works well on an Italian bike. If you want something a bit lighter but at a sensible price, the Ritchey WCS carbon post is a good choice.

great looking frame, really.

I have a colnago dream, deda newton deep bars and newton stem.

I like to have everything match, bars, stem and post but on my current bike I went with the record carbon post.

Good combo, esp if you have record group.

Frame is nice, but I have to say you have a gorgeous workshop. Gives us all (including most bike shops!) something to aspire to.

Does Deda Superzero come also in 28.0 mm?

The Deda is a pig and more of a pain to set up.
Image

It has a lot of set back and the color doesnt match the stem/bars.
Image

I dont know offhand how much setback the new Colnago post has but its less than the Campagnolo Record one.

73.5 STA isnt very steep for that size.[/img]

I don't know, but since this is an ExP, he would need a 31.6mm anyway.

I'm using a Campy Chorus on my ExP (should've bought a Record, but they LBS had a Chorus in stock for cheap...). The Campy looks really good on the bike and the function is awesome.
