Hello!

Maybe someone could tell me something about the Amercian Classic Carbon Wheels?
Stiffness, quality, braking, durability; I heard that the hubs aren’t very well, is it true?
How are your experiences.

Thanks a lot.

Regards
Piero

Well, I haven't ridden the American Classic Carbons, but there rims are from zipp, so expect good quality. As for the hubs I think they are super smooth. I've ridden the Rolf Vigors, they are pretty much the AC 420's with paired spokes, and the hubs roll great and are really quiet.

That link Tim supplied should give you a good insight on them to.

I have these wheels and have had no problems, but a buddy of mine broke his Pawl after only about 1000 miles. Not a big deal to replace, but I would hate to have it happen in an all out sprint!

From what he told me there arn't six in the AC carbon.......talking to him on the phone now. Apparently it wasn't the pawl that broke. There is some type of wire in the hub that got out of place and wraped around the pawl causing it to not be able to engage. Thats about the best description I can give you. I am not real familiar with hub innerds
