Comfortable? I'm used to the standard Arionne... is it worth the 30g savings?

Hey,

I only have a handfull of miles on it, but it seems as good as the original.

For me buying it was about bling factor more then the 30g saved. I just think it looks damn good on my CR1 Limited. 8)

Personally, I would go ahead with purchasing one, if it wasn't for those side protector things at the back of it...

...They look a bit 'agricultural' for me.

In my opinion, it would look better for you to purchase a custom-colored one off www.fizik.it - That way, it is perfected to the colour of your frame!

I agree... I'm going to hold off on the Arionne Carbon... plus, I have a nicely broken in 03 Aliante Carbon (w/o) scuff guards... and according to the listings gospel... thats 25mm right there.

Plus it has a nice rip on it already from when I broke my collarbone last april.

I was thinking about that white/chrome Arionne though I saw in the excel sports catalog. But for some reason it weighs more than the standard black.

This one? Are you serious? On a CR1 that would look like a "ladies" saddle, even if you did use white or silver bar tape. Keep it black IMO.
(And I hope that you do not have to choose door #3....)

OK, Ok... I hear you... no sissy saddle... I was reminising back to the late 80's when I ran a white turbo on real steel...

how about the Vini-Caldirola edition, would look nice on the limited frame (comes with extra fizik logo) :D
You could also compose your own colors at the fizik website and pay 2x what you would pay at a normal shop :?
I wanted a black and white one, but descided to go with the normal black one because of the pricedifference, too bad they offered exactly what I wanted as a 2005 team model now :(

I run a Gobi on my MTN SS bike and its awesome. Good leg extension. Only slightly annoying thing is the writing comes off very easily.

White saddles rock!!

@Superlite,

Do you know if you can get one without those scuff guard things on the sides?

They are sewn in.

Why do you not like them, they actually give the saddle a cool look. They are not like the Aliante scuff guards, these flow with the saddle.

I think it's a matter of personal preference...I don't like the idea of scratch/scuff guards.
