I'm looking for aluminum bolts for these parts, but I am having trouble either with the kits that don't confirm that they will fit with '02 XT (or any other 2000 or newer model for that matter), or I don't know the sizes of the bolts that I need. I don't have my equipment yet so I can't measure the existing bolts, but I would like to get the ball rolling so I have the bolts when I build (all parts '02):

crank bolts for XT splined/XT compact cranks - can I use just any old aluminum crank bolt specific for MTB use?

chainring nuts for the same - XT comes with aluminum bolts and steel nuts, I only need 4 nuts, I will buy a complete kit if I have to

XT rear derailleur - cable bolt, mounting bolt, 2 pulley bolts

Xt front derailleur - cable bolt, mounting bolt

Avid Ultimate brakes and levers- sizes for all bolts and nuts, lever clamp (posts I am not getting....now)

Thomson stem - 6 titanium bolts, need size of handlebar and clamp bolts

if anybody has ordered these bolts or knows of any kits, simple sizes are all I need , example 5Mx4 . Thanks.

Here's a trick!!!

Buy a Ritchey WCS Stem (weight 125 grams) and it'll save you 100 grams of weight from your bike! Thomson=heavy....

Other than that, screw making your bike more fragile by titanium bolts!
