carbon rims are getting stronger every year. deep dish rims were clearly the wrong choice.
zipp's finished a historice 4th for carbon tech...these look like 202 or 303..can't really tell

First 100km he was on racing speeds, then changed bike to the on with hyperons on, but he finished on alu boxed rims

That's just stupid, why using Boras on those roads
For me it's a great fault of the mecano's of the team

Maybe they read WW and do all the wattage calculations based on superb wind tunnel data, after all, this is the only reason Cancellara won the Milano-San Remo. If only he had some Zipp dimples to help him beat Boonen.

Bäckstedt,cracked his carbon rim in 2 places and forced him to service and in the end to quit the day of racing......
