No I was not there. I just saw the links here: http://www.bikebiz.com/news
And thought some WW memebers might find it interesting to watch.
Which one is you?

The video was shot by the http://www.bike-community.net admin Thomas.

I can see Christian Smolik behind the couch in the beginning of the factory tour video.

I can see Canyon has reduced prices on some models until 11th of April to celebrate the opening of the new Canyon headquaters named Canyon.Home:

Yes, that is Christian Smolik. Lutz Scheffer is also in that video pretty much all the way through.

Wow. How do they do all that with not a single picture of a scantily clad lady on the wall?

So the canyon frames are fabricated in Asia I presume.

Beautiful building indeed, but sadly merely an "assembly" facility. I was hoping to see them crafting some frames in good old Germany, but I guess that is not the case. Nonetheless, they have some nice bikes.

90% of bike frames come from Asia, so I don't see any surprise in not seeing any person "crafting some frames in good old Germany".

At least they don't seem to hide it.

I am not accusing Canyon of anything, I was merely commenting on the term "factory tour" used in the description. A factory is a place where something gets manufactured and not just assembled. But hey I guess they are manufacturing dreams there.

I also think it is funny when I see the Ridley crew with their "made on Belgium" jackets. What is made in Belgium? The jackets? :-)

I didnt know about the Ridley's jackets. :D

Anyway Canyon is kinda famous for selling directly, so I guess the interesting (if we can call it like that) point of the tour is to see how they manage the orders and assembly/take care of their bikes/frames.
