I'm not sure how easily you can get Vuelta v-brakes in Europe but Nino mtb weight weenie madman ) swears by them and they are lighter and cheaper (I think).
He's a Swiss guy very friendly chap...check this thread out he compares the Vuelta against the Avid.

Yes, you might think so, but a couple of years ago c'dale also made mtb's with 1 1/8 forks. See for yourself I also got one in my training bike

And why not run Eclipse tubeless instead of tubes?

Because I dont think That the tires Will stand up to it. I know that It will work with the schwalbe fast fred and they are lighter too 345 gr.
So i also have to change tires!!!!

You might want to email Nino I don't know how frequently he visits this board.
The latex should be fine with your tires I'm currently running stans in Conti Twister Supersonic (325g tire) and have not had any problems....yet....although I have heard stories of blow-outs with this combination!
I'm going to be doing some alterations to the bike over the thanksgiving period so I'm going to swop the tires out for some Nokian NBX Lite.

Ah, I dont have any right to talk about heavy tires, the Giantgrisley rolls on old Psyco's! Weighing 680 gr. each!
I've just got one shimano part left on that bike. Got some knee problems and changed the bracket for a smaller one. I know ride a 300 grams bb! Had to be cheap ass non shimano.

Yep some heavy ass Nokians
Nino posted some rolling resistance data on them and the reports I've read on the net all sound promising.
The only down side is they wear quickly from all accounts.

The only thing I think I can suggest on a cheap budget is the stem....but you only just bought it, right?
I would go for a Syntace F99 with the ti bolt kit which you can buy at Gypzybikz.com

Ah, the syntace is nice, but Yas the ti stem is new! and i kinda like it! Maby i get the syntace later!

Just placed a bid on X.0 shifters. They have to run for another day, but when their mine, i got them cheap!!! Under 10 euro

Have you considered:

Pace RC31 rigid carbon forks saving 100g
36g saving by opting for an XT 11-32 cassette
USE Alien carbon post saving 60g
Maxxiss flylight tubes 90g each - saving 60g

I've concidered the pace fork, but with that fork costing over 300 euro and the p bone costing only 25. The decicion was quickly made! I could also put in a Scor carbon fork that is lighter than the pace. In this case the money was placed highier than the weight. The carbon fork will surely come later.

Get other tires than the Kozmics unless you've tried them first!!!! I have a set and they are REALLY squirmy! try some Continental tires- the Supersonic versions are very good.
