Hi,
I'm going to N-Y in March and I wonder if you guys know a fine bike shop where I could find the new Sram Red gruppo... I think prices would be better than in Switzerland...
No matter the weather, ride!

Toga cycles, but don't expect the best prices.

For pure eye candy, go to R&A Cycles in Brooklyn. They have almost everything under the sun.

As for service, for the most part, a lot to be desired. However, I've heard recently they have stepped-up, so YMMV.

Sid's has it and from what I have found their prices are always competitive. Great service too. The Chelsea store is a must see: 19th between 6th and 7th. They also have a location on 34th between 2nd and 3rd.

Bicycle Renaissance on the Upper West Side. Ask for Shane Hall, if he is still there. Great guy.

If you're looking to check out bling then you might want to spend a couple of minutes in Signature. It won't have the lowest prices, but it's a cool-looking place. Same to Cadence; not the cheapest but lots of nice gear to check out.
