My Winter Bike:

Brakes: Formula Oro Puro
Wheels: Chris King / CX-Ray / Mavic XC717D
Tyres: Panaracer Fire Mud
Drivechain: XT/XTR

My bike has a bit of crazy colour scheme but that is the way I like it :D Everytime something wears out or I fancy an upgrade I try to get it in matching colours.

Changed since then:
- new Centaur rear derailleur
- new KMX X10sl chain
- new Veloce 13-26 cassette
- new tires: Continental Speedking 35mm
- and I cleaned it and made it dirty again, and cleaned it, and dirty again...

So new piccas on the way off the completed lowbudget-project!

edit: oh, weight: too much! but it's a winterbike, so i don't care!

Here's my Pinarello. Campy Daytona group (remember that name?). Fenders and knobby tires.

Here is my winter training machine. We haven't really had any winter this year in Sweden where I live. A real shame.

I've been spending alot of time lately on a new(to me) cross bike this late winter. 05 C-dale disc Optimo. Great here in the Western North Carolina mtns where we have as many dirt roads as paved.

I use my 'cross bike when the weather is junk, just cause it's a popcan (albeit scandium) and my nice road bike is custom steel. The components are just about ready to go in the trash – it's all '04 Tiagra off of a Redline Conquest that I used to own. I got this frame for a great price off a friend and I switched everything over. Eventually, this'll have the '06 Centaur off of my road bike, along with some nice tubular wheels for racing.

But for right now everything works perfectly on the bike and I don't feel too bad about not washing it off after a long road ride. I've been meaning to switch the tires out for slicks, but lately, I've just stuck a Ksyrium Elite on the front and kept the Ritchey Speedmax on the rear. I figure the extra resistance that that adds helps me get a better workout when going on a fast team ride.

My winter training bike (not a ww one :D) with slicks. I have used studded tires for nearly one month.

In Hungary you need full fenders for winter riding.

As winter has hopefully ended, it will be rebuilt. Crappy parts (nearly everything) will be changed to quality ones.

Posted on behalf of STATO ^^^, as I assume it to be a winter bike given the inferior spec and unquestionably high weight.

1/10

Not really a winter-bike as I'm riding it all year round. Rides great in the snow, though.
