My name is Klaus,

I'm 32 years old and live in St. Gallen/Switzerland near Lake Constance. Originally, I come from Germany where I studied civil engineering / geotechnical engineering. Since 2002, I work now in Switzerland.

I started cycling in 2000, first as a compensation for running (marathon) and wrestling :shock: . Soon, I liked cycling much more than the other two disciplines and so I concentrated on cycling in 2001. My first event was Trondheim-Oslo in Norway, 540 km nonstop in 16:61... 8-)

2002 and 2003, I started at several events in Germany, Norway and Austria, e.g.:
- Quelle Challenge Roth, Relay -> 180 km in 4:51
- Trondeim-Oslo -> 540 km in 16:13
- Ötztaler Radmarathon -> 238 km in 8:48

2004, 2005 and 2006 were affected by a number of severe illnesses, so I could only start at a few more races, such as the "Transalp", a road race across the alps starting at Germany and ending at Italy. Hopefully, in 2007 I can do some serious training again...

As dane, I specially like the Pricipias, but the Eriksen is too hot 8)
In theory there is no differens betweem theory and pratice, but in pratice, there is.

Thanks for the compliment! :D

The ERIKSEN as well as the PRINCIPIA are construction sites at the moment.

ERIKSEN:
the titanium spacer was already treated some weeks ago so that it matches better to the stem (which wasn't that easy too find a manufacturer who treats titanium), now the fork gets a new design. The fork will be sandpapered, all Reynolds labels will be removed and then 2 red ERIKSEN labels will be put on the fork. Should look better.

PRINCIPIA:
I've sold the LW some months ago and bought some Reynolds rims (MV32T). Together with DT-Aerolite spokes (20/20) and TUNE Mig45/Mag150 should still be a light wheelset. My mechanic says it will be around 1'080 grams (which is more than 100 grams lighter than my original D&O-LW). Should be ready within the next weeks.

Pics will follow somewhen at springtime when all the work is done on the 2 bikes. :lol:

I think the only thing I would change is the stem/spacers on the Eriksen (less spacers, Shallower negative rise stem), to get to the same position.

Well, the spacer is just fine for me at the moment. As I ride often long climbings I prefer a more upward position there.

Who knows, where I will be next year, time will tell. Maybe not in Switzerland any more but in a more flat area, then I can take off the spacer, no problem. Same with my other bikes.

...and buying another MOOTS stem would be way too expensive of course! :shock:
